The Annual Common Assembly of the Irish Desk Tennis Affiliation CLG passed off within the Convention Room of the Irish Sports activities HQ Saturday tenth June 2023 at 10.30am. Mr. Chris Kitchen, Interim Chair, chaired the assembly and welcomed the administrators, representatives of the 4 provinces, officers, members, and employees to the assembly. A minute’s silence was held in honour of the members who had handed during the last season. Those that handed have been Mrs. Lola Cooke, Mr. Ronnie Burton, Mr. Alistair Cairns, Ms Dorothy Taylor, Mr Alex Thackaberry, Mr Les Hunt, Mr Jim Walker, Tony Redmond and Barry Redmond. The Finance Director, Mrs. Kathy Endersen, introduced her Finance Director’s Report, Monetary Statements & Auditor’s Report for the 12 months ended thirty first of December 2022. Honorary Life Member

The AGM granted Mr Arthur Brett the distinguished award of Honorary Life Member in mild of his work throughout the Irish Affiliation. Mr Brett has been a volunteer and supporter of the Affiliation for a very long time. He began a membership in Swords in 1980 from the place he and his spouse Tina moved to Cavan and coached within the Castlerahan Membership the place he coached Dane Smith and Sean Brady who turned Cadet and Junior worldwide gamers. Joe Veselsky Award

This 12 months’s Joe Veselsky Award in recognition of endeavour and achievement on behalf of the Affiliation has been awarded to Oliver Adamson. Oliver has been profitable as an administrator, a participant and an organiser. A member of the ITTA Board the place he was a consultant of the Veterans sport. Oliver led an organising committee for the 6 Nations Veterans Championships in 2006 in Belfast which ran very easily.

He had a profitable life as a participant with some 75 caps as a Veteran. He gained a number of 6 Nations championships with Tommy Caffrey, together with different Irish Veterans rating occasions together with Irish Closed Doubles. Throughout his time as Chair of the Veterans Affiliation a correct rating system was launched.
